This course develops beginning abilities in classical Arabic in all four language skills: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. It offers basic study of grammatical structures and vocabulary in a communicative context. Students will able to speak about themselves, their life and environment on a broad range of everyday topics. Be able to initiate and sustain conversations on a number of daily life topics. Be able to write short sentences understand simple paragraphs on familiar topics and correspondence connected to daily life such as Family, school, food, colors, time, and numbers. They will learn new vocabulary something around 300-500 new vocabulary. They will learn basic grammar topics such as nouns/ verbs tenses.
